Looking for a Spa day?

The new Aqua Sana Spa at the Woburn Forest Centre Parcs is a must! I recently went with my Mum and we had the best experience and couldn’t recommend it highly enough, it is worth every penny, shame I can’t afford to do it every week! I figured what better way to tell everyone what a fantastic time I had than to write about it on my blog. I hope you enjoy my review J

Centre Parcs was nice and easy to find once off the M1 as it’s clearly sign posted. As soon as you arrive you are greeted by friendly staff, that guide you through how to get to the spa and give you a map, which is great if you are forgetful like me! As we had booked the re-energising spa day from 9am-6pm, we arrived just before 9am. As soon as we arrived in the spa, we were attended to straight away and given our wristbands, which are fab as you can scan them to your debit card to save you carrying cash around in case you wish to purchase products, I conveniently allowed my mum to scan her debit card ;) Once we had put our bikinis and robes on we went upstairs to the vitalé cafe where we offered a pastry and drink of our choice, I had the raspberry custard danish...yummy! Next stop was the spa as soon as you walk through the entrance you instantly feel relaxed and calm. One of the spa employees then talked us through the different experiences in the spa and offered recommendations on what to start and finish with. The spa has six sections, all are beautifully decorated and scented.  Blossom, Fire & Ice, Herbal, Sensory, Mineral & Gemstone and Salt.
We enjoyed a leisurely time in the vitality pool enjoying the different water jets and a lie down after going in the various steam and sauna rooms. The vitality pool and water beds are to die for and great if you suffer with muscular tension.
The package we booked included lunch with the option to upgrade for an extra £5 you get a glass of prosecco and starter, it would be rude not to! The lunch was lovely with the option of fresh pasta, panini’s or salads to choose from, there was something on the menu for everyone! Feeling full we then relaxed on the spa beds with a blanket over us, in total peace reading our kindles and chilled for an hour or so.
Next was our treatment, the Decleor mind and body treatment that was booked for 2pm perfectly timed by the booking team, the therapists greet you in a waiting room and take you through. My therapist was Alex Arnold and she was brilliant, being a therapist myself I often find it hard to relax and for the first time ever, I did! The treatment started with a back massage, followed by the backs of the legs and feet. I particularly liked that when Alex worked on my legs she placed a hot water bottle on my back. I then turned over for the facial, where I pretty much fell asleep; the Decleor products submerged me in beautiful aromatic fragrances. I’ve never personally used Decleor products and have to say I will most definitely be inclined to now as they left my skin feeling, soft, supple and glowing. I wish I could have stayed on the bed longer than the 55 minutes! I now see why they call the treatment Mind & Body I have never felt so good I was ‘floating’! Instead of going back into the spa straight away Alex took me to the dark relaxation room where I met my Mum.
For the rest of the afternoon I relaxed in the salt inhalation room, followed by the water beds and to finish the crystal steam room. As they say all good things come to end, it was time to go home, on the way out we decided to have a look around the retail shop and look for the products our therapists had recommend following our treatments! Both my mum and I ended up purchasing products I’m excited to try mine. I purchased the Decleor BB cream, which I’ll be sure to write up on soon, so keep an eye out!

Verdict: The whole experience was brilliant, I couldn’t fault a single thing, the customer service is impeccable and the spa was stunning to say the least, my only regret would be that I didn’t book the spa break! I would personally like to thank the team at Centre Parcs for such a fantastic day I will most definitely be going back!
